NEPAL EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUNDRAISING

Two years ago, Sutherland Social Justice students visited Langtang Village, and stayed in the hotel with the lovely glass veranda in the foreground of the top photo.
Today, there is nothing there...the village was entirely wiped out by a massive avalanche after the earthquake.

We need to assist in relief efforts in Nepal; 8 million people need our help!

Social Justice students are raising funds:

May 5-22 - JAM THE JAR at three North Vancouver high schools will collect funds for Nepal earthquake relief.
May 9 -  at Lonsdale Quay Farmers' Market there will be an information & donation table staffed by Social Justice students who have travelled to Nepal in 2013 & 2015.
May 16 -  from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Social Justice students will pack groceries at the North Van Real Canadian Superstore for donations to the Nepal relief effort.

May 23 -  DIGGING DEEP!  Sutherland Secondary in North Van host a community celidh, with the North Shore Celtic Ensemble, Mark James Fortin Band and more.  7-11 p.m. Great fun for the entire family & a chance to help Nepal earthquake survivors.

Please give generously to organizations such as Red Cross, UNICEF, Medecins Sans Frontiers, OXFAM, Save the Children, and designate your donations to the Nepal earthquake relief to assure Canadian government matching funds.  Thanks and Namaste!
