School is back!  Our first Social Justice meeting is Thursday, September 25th, from 4-6 p.m. in Room D102 at Sutherland.  Please do your very best to be on time!
HOMEWORK: find an article on line or in the newspaper or a current affairs magazine about an issue that interests you.  Be ready to tell us about it, and why it is a social justice issue.

Our second session, on October 2nd, will be
GLOBAL SOUTH INDOOR PICNIC
HOMEWORK:  find a food/dish that originates in the global south.  Be ready to explain why you chose this food, what its nutritional value is for the population who eats it, and how it relates to a socially just world.

Our third session is different: we will be doing a virtual classroom with Dr. David Suzuki and the author of "100 Mile Diet" on October 6th.  I will give you more details, but you need to be available from 9-10 a.m. on October 6th at your home school.  We will be participating on-line.
